Analysis about user journey on the current registration process that customers have to compete to get access to Cloud Services offered by the company.
Challenges
Understand the variety roles and users accessing the platform.
Reduce the abandon and failure ration when creating a new account in order to reduce support tickets.
Provide clarity in the information presented on screen, using terminology that is better and more familiar to the user.
Understanding the problem
I led a comprehensive project to enhance the registration process. I started by defining user personas to ensure we understood the diverse needs and motivations of our users. I then mapped out the user journey, detailing each step of the registration process to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement.
Additionally, I conducted a thorough analysis comparing the current process flow with the proposed new one, highlighting the differences and anticipated benefits of the updated approach.
Exploring and creating
I identified the key areas where the registration process was being slowed down by pinpointing the main points of friction for users. By defining the main improvements needed to reduce these delays, I created a smoother user experience. Furthermore, I conducted benchmarking to compare and understand the visual patterns with which users are familiar, ensuring our design aligns with their expectations and enhances usability.
Takeaways
In conclusion, I comprehensively analyzed the registration process, defining user personas and mapping their journeys, identifying key touch points, and pinpointing areas of friction. By benchmarking against familiar visual patterns, I ensured our design improvements reduced delays and difficulties and aligned with user expectations. This approach has set the stage for a more streamlined and user-friendly registration experience.
