Use case: Platform evolution and growth
As the Anthology Illuminate platform evolves and grows, the analysis of its information architecture has become essential. This involves identifying new data needs and feature capabilities tto support the ongoing development of the platform.
The goal is to ensure that the architecture can accommodate future enhancements to improve scalability and user experience. In addition, the user interface is being analysed, in particular the main menu, which needs to be redefined to improve navigation and usability.
Understanding the problem
First, I identified the improvements needed, pinpointed the problem areas and decided where to place new features. I then mapped out expectations and made suggestions for testing.
Next, I prepared a research plan and selected card-sorting tests as the method to gather insights. After conducting the card sorting tests, the results were analized and proposed a new organization of elements based on these findings.
Exploring and creating
During this phase, I created a new information architecture proposal tailored to the requirements of the additional features.
This included the creation of a comprehensive diagram flow to show how regular and premium users navigate and access the platform differently.
Furthermore, the main menu UI was reviewed to ensure the seamless integration of new elements and features.

Next phase
Throughout this phase, our primary objective is to drive the growth of the platform while introducing new products. This includes refining the information architecture to clearly delineate the products available to each customer segment.
At the same time, we will iterate on the main menu UI to seamlessly integrate these new features, improving user accessibility and navigation efficiency across the platform.
